ブドウニトリスフレガラス2連ネックレス
葡萄の棚に鳥が啄みに訪れる、我が家の秋の風景からインスピレーションを得て製作したシリーズです。毎年繰り返されるその情景は、季節の移ろいを感じさせる大切な瞬間でもあります。
ヴィンテージの鳥モチーフに小さなビジューを留め、葉っぱのモチーフをあしらった繊細なつくり。まるで自然のワンシーンをそのまま切り取ったようなデザインです。
ネックレスに使用しているのは、フランスで買い付けたアンティークのスフレガラス。100年前に吹きガラスの技法でつくられ、もともとはオートクチュールのドレス刺繍のために生み出された特別なビーズです。現在ではその製法は失われており、今あるストックが尽きれば二度と出会えない、大変貴重な素材となっています。
直径わずか4〜5mmほどの小さなビーズを、一粒ずつ吹き上げる繊細な技術は驚くべきものであり、個体差から生まれる揺らぎが独特の愛らしい表情を添えています。アンティークらしい趣のあるカラーリングも魅力のひとつ。穴の大きさや状態が均一でないため、熟練の職人たちが何度も選別を重ね、美しい粒だけを選び抜いて仕立てています。
中が空洞になっているスフレガラスは驚くほど軽く、しっかりとしたボリューム感がありながら、心地よく身につけられるのも特徴です。金具にはマグネットを採用し、おひとりでも簡単に着脱できる使いやすさも兼ね備えています。
アンティークパーツを用いた作品は繊細な扱いを要しますが、それでも「手元に置きたい」と思わせるだけの魅力があります。長い時を経てめぐり会えた奇跡の素材に感謝し、一点一点を大切に仕立てた特別なネックレスです。
This necklace was inspired by a familiar autumn scene at my home: birds visiting the grapevine to peck at its fruit. A fleeting sight that repeats each year, it captures the quiet beauty of seasonal change.
The design features a vintage bird motif adorned with tiny bijoux and complemented by delicate leaf accents—like a fragment of nature frozen in time.
The necklace is crafted with antique French soufflé glass, sourced from over 100 years ago. These beads were originally created for haute couture dress embroidery using a traditional blown-glass technique. That method has long since been lost, making the remaining stock an irreplaceable treasure.
Each bead, measuring only 4–5mm, was individually hand-blown—an astonishing feat of craftsmanship. Their natural variations create a gentle irregularity that gives each piece a charming expression, enhanced by the nuanced, antique-inspired coloration. Because the beads vary in hole size and condition, many hands carefully sorted through them to select only the most beautiful ones for use.
Hollow inside, the soufflé glass beads are remarkably lightweight, giving the necklace a bold volume while remaining effortless to wear. A magnetic clasp ensures easy fastening and removal, even on your own.
Though antique components require delicate care, they hold an allure that makes them truly worth cherishing. This necklace embodies gratitude for the miracle of encountering such rare materials after so many years, carefully crafted into a piece to treasure.
